Last updated: [DATE]
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Lyceuma (the “Service”), an online learning platform operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“Lyceuma”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Please read them carefully. By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By registering for, accessing, or using Lyceuma, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and all policies referenced here, including our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and Student/Minor Accounts
Lyceuma is designed for students preparing for school and competitive examinations. Many of our users are minors under the age of 18 (or otherwise below the age of majority under applicable law).
- If you are 18 or older, you may register and use the Service on your own behalf.
- If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement, knowledge, and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, a minor represents that such consent has been obtained.
- A parent or guardian who consents to a minor’s use of the Service accepts these Terms on the minor’s behalf and is responsible for the minor’s activity, including any subscription and payment.
We may ask for a parent or guardian phone number and use it to confirm consent and to send account and progress notifications. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle children’s data.
3. Your Account and Security
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when you register and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (including any one-time passwords sent to you) and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Accounts are personal to you and may not be shared, sold, or transferred. One person may not maintain multiple accounts to abuse trials, offers, or free features.
- Notify us promptly at [SUPPORT EMAIL] if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
4. Description of the Service
Lyceuma provides technology-assisted learning tools, which may include some or all of the following, depending on your plan:
- AI tutoring: conversational explanations, doubt solving, and study guidance generated with the help of artificial intelligence.
- Practice and question bank: curated practice questions, solutions, and exercises across subjects and topics.
- Mock tests: timed tests and quizzes that simulate examination conditions, with performance analysis.
- Rank and college predictions: estimated ranks, score bands, and indicative college or course suggestions based on your performance and available data.
Guidance, not a guarantee. AI-generated explanations, analytics, rank estimates, and college or admission predictions are provided for study guidance and planning only. They are statistical estimates that may be inaccurate or incomplete, are not professional or career advice, and are not a guarantee of any examination result, rank, score, or admission. You should independently verify important information and consult official sources and qualified advisors before making decisions.
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time to improve the Service or for operational, legal, or security reasons.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or examination body’s rules;
- copy, scrape, download in bulk, republish, resell, or redistribute the question bank, solutions, tests, or other content, in whole or in part;
- share paid content or your account access with others, or use the Service to help anyone cheat in any examination;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or interfere with the Service, its security, or its underlying models and infrastructure;
- upload or transmit content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, infringing, or harmful, or that contains malware; or
- use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service except as we expressly permit.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe violate this section.
6. Subscriptions, Billing and Payments
- Plans: certain features require a paid subscription. Prices, features, and billing cycles are shown at the point of purchase and are inclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Payments: payments are processed by our third-party payment gateway, Razorpay. We do not store your full card, UPI, or bank details on our servers. Your use of the payment gateway is also subject to its terms and privacy policy.
- Auto-renewal: where a plan is set to renew automatically, your subscription will renew at the end of each billing cycle and the applicable fee will be charged using your selected payment method, until you cancel. You can turn off auto-renewal or cancel at any time as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Price changes: we may change subscription prices. For auto-renewing plans, we will give you reasonable advance notice of a price change before it applies to your next renewal, so you can decide whether to continue.
- Refunds: refunds, where applicable, are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, we may retry the charge and/or suspend access to paid features until payment succeeds.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and all content we make available — including the question bank, solutions, tests, explanations, text, graphics, logos, software, and the Lyceuma name and branding — are owned by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the content for your own, non-commercial study while your account is in good standing. No other rights are granted.
Your content. You retain ownership of the content you submit (for example, questions you ask the AI tutor or notes you save). You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and use that content to operate, secure, and improve the Service, including to generate responses and analytics for you. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to submit it.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Without limiting the above:
- we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that content, solutions, or AI responses will always be accurate, complete, or current;
- rank estimates, score predictions, and college or admission suggestions are indicative only and are not guarantees of any outcome; and
- you are responsible for how you use the information the Service provides.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lyceuma and its directors, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, results, opportunity, or examination or admission outcomes, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the [three (3) months] immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive. Refund eligibility on termination is governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to any applicable law, the courts at [JURISDICTION CITY], India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
